Henriette Bressolles — Pott's disease at Lourdes
July 1924 · Grotto of Massabielle, Lourdes, France
Status: approved holy see

Henriette Bressolles, 26, of Nice, had suffered for years from Pott's disease of the thoracic spine with paravertebral abscesses and progressive paraplegia. She had been confined to a plaster shell for years and could not walk.

She came to Lourdes on the July 1924 pilgrimage. Bathed in the piscines she was instantly cured: the back pain ceased, the paraplegia resolved, and she walked from the baths upright for the first time in years. The cure was followed by the Lourdes Medical Bureau and was recognised by the Bishop of Nice as the 36th miraculous Lourdes cure.
