Juliette Orion had severe rheumatic mitral valve disease (Bouillaud's disease) with chronic pulmonary congestion, peripheral oedema, and the inability to walk more than a few steps. She had been judged inoperable.
She came to Lourdes on the May 1910 pilgrimage. Bathed in the piscines on May 22 she was instantly restored: the dyspnea cleared, oedema resolved, and she walked normally from the baths. The cure was recognised by the local ordinary on the official Lourdes list.
