Serge Perrin — recurring hemiplegia at Lourdes
May 1, 1970 · Grotto of Massabielle, Lourdes, France
Status: approved holy see

Serge Perrin was a Frenchman from Lion-d'Angers who suffered from recurring right-sided organic hemiplegia (paralysis) with ocular lesions and a verified series of small brain infarcts; he could neither walk reliably nor see properly. He made his pilgrimage to Lourdes for the Eucharistic feast of May 1, 1970, doubting any cure was possible.

At the moment of the Eucharistic procession's blessing, he felt warmth pass through his entire body. He stood up, walked, and could see. Examined by the Lourdes Medical Bureau and the International Medical Committee of Lourdes throughout the 1970s, his cure was found complete, lasting, and inexplicable. The Bishop of Angers formally recognised it as the 64th miraculous Lourdes cure on June 17, 1978.
