Life

Angelo (Italian Angelo Falcone) was born on October 19, 1669 at Acri in Calabria. In 1690, at the age of 21, Angelo entered the Capuchin Order.

For 38 years (1701–1739), Angelo undertook the systematic Capuchin popular-mission preaching ministry across the Kingdom of Naples — conducting hundreds of popular missions across Calabria, Basilicata, and Campania.

Angelo became famous for his dramatic preaching style and reported miraculous conversions. He died at Acri on October 30, 1739 at the age of 70.
