Life

Lucia Filippini was born on January 13, 1672 at Corneto (modern Tarquinia) in Lazio. In 1692, Cardinal Marc'Antonio Barbarigo of Montefiascone recruited Lucia to establish the Maestre Pie Filippini at Montefiascone — institutionally in the parallel of Rose Venerini's Maestre Pie Venerini foundation.

Lucia served as Superior of the Maestre Pie Filippini for 40 years (1692–1732) — establishing schools across the Papal States and at Rome (at the request of Pope Clement XI in 1707).

She died at Montefiascone on March 25, 1732 at the age of 60.
