The Eucharistic Miracle of Bagnocavallo
May 4, 1480 · Bagnocavallo (Ravenna), Italy
Status: approved holy see

On May 4, 1480, at the parish church of Bagnocavallo (in the Ravenna region of Romagna), a consecrated host accidentally fell during Communion. As the celebrant moved to retrieve it, the host rose of itself a few inches from the marble floor and returned, suspended in the air, to his outstretched hand. The witnesses' depositions were taken; the archbishop confirmed the local cult. The site is documented in St. Carlo Acutis's catalogue.
