Thieves in 1310 broke into the Benedictine abbey church of Fiecht in the Austrian Tyrol and hid a stolen consecrated host in a wooden box, intending to return for it. When the box was discovered years later and opened, the host was found transformed into a small visible figure of Christ enthroned. The relic was preserved at the abbey; the local cult was confirmed by the bishop of Brixen.
