In 1412 at Herentals in the Brabantine countryside, three consecrated hosts stolen from the parish church were found buried in a field outside the town. When the bishop's commission disinterred them, the witnesses saw that each of the three was marked with drops of blood that had soaked the linen wrapping. The relics were preserved at St. Waltrude's parish church; the local cult was confirmed.
