The small town of Hoogstraten in northern Belgium preserves Eucharistic relics that combine local memory with one of the principal Dutch Eucharistic miracles. The 1304 phenomenon at the parish church was preserved; in 1652, the bloodied corporal of the 1380 Boxtel miracle (in the Calvinist-held Netherlands) was translated to the Catholic safety of Hoogstraten for permanent veneration. Both are kept at St. Catherine's church; the annual procession of the Blessed Sacrament continues.
