A theft from the parish church of Iphofen in Franconia in 1294 deprived the church of its tabernacle host. The host, buried by the thief in a vineyard outside town, was rediscovered in mid-winter by farmers who noticed an unwithered circle of green grass in the middle of the dormant vineyard. Beneath it they found the consecrated host, undamaged. The relic was returned in procession to the parish church. The Eucharistic chapel of Iphofen was built to commemorate it.
