In 1604 at the small village of Mogoro in southern Sardinia, a consecrated host accidentally dropped during the distribution of Communion could not be found, despite extensive search of the floor. Weeks later, the host was discovered by a child suspended in mid-air above the very spot on the floor where it had fallen. The bishop of Ales-Terralba investigated; the relic was preserved and the local cult approved.
