At the small village of Pressac in the Vienne region of central France in 1643, the parish priest celebrating Sunday Mass saw, at the elevation, the consecrated host transform visibly into the small figure of the Christ Child holding a cross. Several of the parishioners closest to the altar also reported seeing it. Depositions were taken; the local cult was confirmed by the bishop of Poitiers.
