The Eucharistic Miracle of Veroli
March 27, 1570 · Convent of Sant'Erasmo, Veroli, Italy
Status: approved holy see

On Good Friday, March 27, 1570, the tabernacle of the Conventual Franciscan church at Veroli, near Frosinone in central Italy, opened by itself. The consecrated host rose into the air and remained suspended for several minutes while a luminous vision of Christ crucified appeared above it. The phenomenon was witnessed by the friars, the women's choir, and a number of laypeople present for the Good Friday liturgy. The bishop of Veroli investigated; the local cult was approved.
