Given by Our Lord to St. Faustina Kowalska at Vilnius in 1935, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy is prayed on ordinary rosary beads and offers the Father the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of His Son "in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world."
Our Lord asked that the chaplet be prayed especially at the three o'clock hour — the hour of His death, the Hour of Great Mercy — and as a novena from Good Friday to Divine Mercy Sunday, the Second Sunday of Easter. "When they say this chaplet in the presence of the dying, I will stand between My Father and the dying person, not as the just Judge but as the merciful Savior" (Diary, 1541). The full prayer text also lives in the prayer library; the apparitions at Płock are told in the catalogue.
