Several smaller Eucharistic phenomena are recorded in Hungarian medieval chronicles — chiefly at Esztergom (the primatial see, founded by St. Stephen in the year 1000) and at the Benedictine abbey of Pannonhalma. These are linked to the cult of St. Stephen of Hungary and to the 13th–14th-century revival of Eucharistic devotion in the kingdom. St. Carlo Acutis's catalogue includes Hungary among the 22 countries of recognised Eucharistic events, though the surviving records are less detailed than those of western Europe.
